Long Beach weddings are a quieter coastline than Malibu: calmer water, fewer paparazzi, and a working harbor that makes for genuinely unique photography. Our team works the entire LBC waterfront: the Hyatt Regency on Pine Avenue, the Renaissance and the Hotel Maya across the bay, the Aquarium of the Pacific for non-traditional ceremonies, the Long Beach Convention Center events for corporate galas, and the Belmont Shore neighborhoods for at-home weddings. The Long Beach bride often skews younger and more value-conscious than Beverly Hills or Malibu. She's chosen Long Beach for the harbor views, the slightly slower pace, and the ability to book a venue at half the cost of a comparable LA hotel. The look skews soft-glow, sun-warm, beach-modern. Trials happen at our DTLA studio (35 minutes north on the 110) or at your suite; we're equally happy with either.

Long Beach has its own coastal weather pattern: marine-layer fog can sit on the harbor until early afternoon, then dissipate into a hot dry late-day. We pre-set foundation undertones with this in mind because the morning getting-ready photos and the afternoon ceremony photos will have different color temperatures. The look skews approachable: fresh, glowy, never overdone. We don't push the Hollywood-graphic register here; the photographs Long Beach brides hire for tend toward warm and lifestyle rather than fashion-editorial. Bridal parties are often multigenerational and multicultural; we carry a deep range of foundation shades and we work in two-station rotations comfortably for groups of 5+.

Local venues

Where we work in Long Beach.

Eight years of Long Beach weddings means we know the suites, the light, and the load-in protocols. Here are the venues we’ve repeatedly worked.

  • Hyatt Regency Long Beach

Harbor-facing hotel with the most-booked LBC bridal suite. Pine Avenue side has the best afternoon light.

  • Renaissance Long Beach Hotel

Modern hotel near the convention center. Bridal suite layouts are reliable; we run two stations easily.

  • Hotel Maya, a DoubleTree by Hilton

Across the bay with city skyline views. Outdoor ceremony space at the harbor edge; we airbrush as default.

  • Aquarium of the Pacific

Non-traditional ceremonies inside the Honda Pacific Visions theater or the Tropical Reef habitat. Bridal room is small; we limit chairs.

  • The Grand Long Beach Event Center

Banquet-hall ceremonies for larger weddings. Bridal room has east-facing windows; we set up at the long counter.

  • Alegria

Boutique events venue with intimate ceremony space. We coordinate vendor entry via the side driveway.

  • The Reef on the Water

Waterfront restaurant with private-event ceremonies. Bridal getting-ready happens off-site; we travel between locations.

  • Long Beach Convention Center

Corporate gala makeup and large-event weddings. We run a 4-artist team for events with 20+ heads.

  • Belmont Shore at-home weddings

Beachfront residential ceremonies along Ocean Boulevard. We coordinate parking with the host family the week of.

  • Queen Mary

Historic ship weddings. Vendor entry via the rear gangway; suites are tight and require single-station setup.

Local logistics

The morning runs to plan.

Long Beach is 25-30 miles south of DTLA, at the edge of our complimentary travel radius. Saturday morning traffic on the 110 is unpredictable; we plan a 90-minute drive even on a clear day. The 710 is the alternate. The Aquarium of the Pacific has strict vendor parking rules: vehicle drop-off only, with cart load-in via the rear vendor entrance. The Queen Mary is a unique logistics challenge: vendor entry is via the gangway, kit must be cart-pushed, and the suites are notoriously narrow. We've worked all three multiple times.
