Hollywood weddings & events
Hollywood weddings and events run on showbiz time, meaning the schedule is half makeup, half logistics, and the press calls might happen between ceremony and reception. Our team works the full Hollywood corridor, from the Roosevelt and Magic Castle on the boulevard to the canyon estates above Franklin and the recording-studio compounds tucked into 90068. We've glammed brides for ceremonies in the Roosevelt's Blossom Ballroom, talent for premieres at the El Capitan, and entire bridal parties at the Hollywood Forever's chapel. The look skews more dramatic here than anywhere else in LA: graphic eyes, sculpted brows, a cleaner contour, lipstick that survives a flashbulb. We carry a separate red-carpet kit for events that need camera-ready reads under high-intensity lighting.
The Hollywood client often has a publicist's calendar in addition to her own. We work with managers, day-of producers, and image consultants regularly; we're comfortable in three-name-text-thread coordination. The look is bolder than Beverly Hills or Santa Monica. Hollywood expects glamour as a verb, not a vibe. We never punch the makeup harder than the client wants, but our default skews toward 'the version of you that's been touched up for a magazine cover' rather than 'the version of you who got engaged on vacation.' Trials happen at our DTLA studio or your hotel suite; for high-profile shoots we'll come to a private studio with NDAs in place.
Local venues
Eight years of Hollywood weddings means we know the suites, the light, and the load-in protocols. Here are the venues we’ve repeatedly worked.
Cabana suites for getting ready, Blossom Ballroom for ceremony. The Tropicana cabana is our most-booked starting point.
Members-only club weddings with strict dress codes. The Mansion's bridal-room lighting is dim; we bring our own panels.
Streamline-Moderne classic. Penthouse suites have the best afternoon light on the Sunset Strip side.
Bungalow weddings and intimate ceremonies. We work with the hotel's tight vendor schedule and carry our own light kit.
The Masonic Lodge and Cathedral Chapel host ceremonies and memorials. The light in the chapel is church-soft, gorgeous on camera.
Hilltop Japanese-pavilion ceremonies with city views. Outdoor terrace shoots in summer need airbrush; the afternoon sun is direct west.
Premieres and screenings. We run a green-room glam station; turnaround per face is 20 minutes for press-line readiness.
Premiere red-carpet events. Vendor entrance at the rear; we do touch-ups at the green-room before talent enters the carpet.
Concert venue with talent-buyer events. We work the artist suites for performance makeup.
Studio lot weddings on rare occasions; mostly we work talent in trailers for productions and press shoots.
Hollywood Hills · Franklin Village · Beachwood Canyon · Thai Town

Local logistics
Hollywood traffic is unpredictable: the boulevard is closed for film shoots more weekends than not, with no public notice. We monitor LADOT shoot permits weekly and have backup routes ready. Sunset Tower and Chateau Marmont have valet-only access; vendor load-in is a curbside cart drop. The Hollywood Roosevelt has a side-street service entrance that's faster than valet for under-15-minute load-ins. For canyon estates above Franklin, narrow streets and stair access mean we plan two trips up from the parking spot.

Hollywood FAQ
Yes. Red-carpet events have a 90-minute window from final touch-up to first photographer flash. We run a green-room station as part of standard event package: powder, lipstick, brow refresh, garment de-lint. For talent with multiple events in one night (premiere → after-party → press junket), we coordinate with the publicist for two-stage looks.
Routinely. We work with talent, productions, and high-profile private events that require non-disclosure. Our standard NDA is light-touch: we agree not to share images, location, or client identity on social media or with press. We also operate without phones in the room when requested.
First chair to camera-ready in 45 minutes for a single talent. For ensemble shoots (4+ talent), we run two artists with parallel chairs at 25-30 minutes per face. We've worked next-day-shoot calls where talent arrived from a 10pm wrap and needed glam by 6am; we adjust skincare prep accordingly.
Yes, the Mansion is intentionally dim. We bring two professional ring lights and an LED panel as standard kit. The bridal room near the Houdini Library has the most usable space; we set up against the east wall with our own lighting. Member dress code applies to vendors too: black slacks, no jeans.
Yes. We monitor LADOT permits the week of every Hollywood booking. If Hollywood Boulevard or Sunset is closed for a shoot, we route via Franklin or Fountain. We always confirm an alternate path 48 hours before the event. Our drivers know the canyon backways from Beachwood, Bronson, and Outpost.
Inside 25 miles of DTLA (which covers the entire Hollywood corridor through Beachwood, Outpost, and Whitley Heights), there's no surcharge. For addresses up Mulholland or the deeper canyons (Laurel Canyon's western side, parts of Coldwater), we may add a small per-mile fee. We confirm at quote time.
